Point 1: If you haven't read the manga, this is going to be confusing and most likely, you're not going to understand many things. Because you don't know who these people are, and actually, that's how you're supposed to feel, in the end, considering the rushed job Saya did. The point was to put yourself in the shoes of a Shinigami who knows nothing about the office and Saya does the introducing. Saya is a female Shinigami too, the purpose of this fic was doing 2nd person and doing another character I have yet to explore.
If you don't know who Saya is, it makes the fic even more of a burden, because you can't connect with her, and it sounds like 'names' being said from the anime. So I'd probably not recommend reading this unless you've read the manga.
Point 2: Again, the point is no description but mostly dialogue. In fact, there is no description commonly in 2nd person fiction, period.
Saya is talking to 'you', so it would be weird if I suddenly had 'Person trips over chair in the middle of the floor'. And it would ruin the mood, because you're supposed to feel like you're there.
I probably could've added in more details, like maybe about procedures and copy machines and computers and all though. Will consider that.
Point 3: There's a plot to this??? O_o;; No, there really isn't. There's no smashing plot or overly dramatic piece, that's not what I intended at all. @_@;; It was supposed to be a simple play on the 2nd PoV again.
This is supposed to be a short, 'Show the n00b around' type of thing, from another's PoV.
The better example would be to read this fic that I wrote for Gravitation. If you don't like the style of that, then it's probably because you don't care much for the 2nd person PoV, which is okay, cause a lot of people hate it. :/
